OFFICIAL NOTICE BEFORE THE UTILITIES BOARD OF THE STATE OF IOWA TO THE CITIZENS OF MONONA, WOODBURY, PLYMOUTH, AND SIOUX COUNTIES, IOWA: Notice is given that Magellan Pipeline Company, L.P., Tulsa, OK, pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 479B, has filed a petition with the Iowa Utilities Board (IUB) for renewal of a pipeline permit to construct, operate, and maintain existing hazardous liquid pipelines. The route of the pipelines are described as follows: Legal Description for Topeka to Sioux Falls NB-IA State Line to IA-SD State Line No. 2 Pipeline (Line ID: 6512) Monona County, Iowa Beginning at a point on the state line between Nebraska and Iowa, in the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 83 North, Range 46 West, Monona County, Iowa, crossing the Missouri River in a general northerly and northeasterly direction through the Northeast Quarter of Section 20; thence in a general northeasterly direction through the Southeast Quarter and the Northeast Quarter of Section 17 to a point within the Magellan Pipeline Company LP Onawa Junction Property in the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, being the endpoint of the pipeline in Monona County, Iowa; and all being in Township 83 North, Range 46 West; and all being privately owned, except in Section 20, Township 83 North, Range 46 West, the pipeline travels northerly through the Missouri River. The total distance of this 6” pipeline is approximately 1.0 mile. Thence in a general northeasterly direction through the Southwest Quarter, and the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, and the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, crossing public highway right-of-way of US Highway 175; thence in a general northeasterly direction through the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, crossing public right-of-way of 240th Street; thence in a general northeasterly direction through the East Half of the Southeast Quarter and the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 8, crossing public right-of-way of 230th Street; thence in a general northeasterly and easterly direction through the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 5, crossing public right-of-way of Cashew Avenue; thence in a general northeasterly direction through the West Half of the Southwest Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of Section 4, crossing public right-of-way of Cashew Avenue and all being in Township 83 North, Range 46 West; and all being privately owned, except public highway right-of-way and public right-of-way crossings. Thence in a general northwesterly direction through the Southeast Quarter and the West Half of the Northeast Quarter and the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 32, crossing public right-of-way of Cashew Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction through the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 32, crossing public right-of-way of Buckeye Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction through the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 32; thence in a general northwesterly direction through the Southwest Quarter of Section 29, crossing public right-of-way of 145th Street; thence in a northwesterly through the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, crossing Badge Lake; thence in a general northwesterly and northerly direction through the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 30, crossing public right-of-way of 140th Street; thence in a general northerly direction through the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 19 thence in a general northwesterly direction through the Northeast Quarter of Section 19; thence in a general northwesterly and northerly direction through the Southeast Quarter and the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and the West Half of the Northeast Quarter and the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 18, crossing public right-of-way of 120th Street; thence in a general northerly direction through the West Half of the Southeast Quarter and the East Half of the Southwest Quarter and the West Half of the Northeast Quarter and the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 7, adjacent to the west side of public highway right-of-way of Interstate 29, crossing public right-of-way of 110th Street; thence in a general northerly direction through the West Half of the Southeast Quarter and the East Half of the Southwest Quarter and the West Half of the Northeast Quarter and the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 6, adjacent to the west side of public highway right-of- way of Interstate 29, crossing 100th Street, being the endpoint of the pipeline in Monona County, Iowa; and all being in Township 85 North, Range 46 West; and all being privately owned, except public right-of-way crossings, and except in Section 29, Township 85 North, Range 46 West, the pipeline travels northwesterly through Badger Lake. The total distance of this 6” pipeline is approximately 16.3 miles.
