City of Charter Oak ORDINANCE NO. 200-24 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CHARTER OAK, IOWA, BY ADDING A NEW CHAPTER FOR ONE-WAY TRAFFIC BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Charter Oak, Iowa: SECTION 1. NEW CHAPTER. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Charter Oak, Iowa, is amended by adding a new Chapter 9 to Title II (Community Protection), Division 2 (Traffic Code) entitled ONE-WAY TRAFFIC, which is hereby adopted to read as follows: ONE-WAY TRAFFIC 2.1-2.0901 ONE-WAY TRAFFIC REQUIRED. Upon the following streets and alleys, vehicular traffic, other than permitted cross traffic, shall move only in the indicated direction when appropriate signs are in place. (Code of Iowa, Sec. 321.236[4]) 1. Main Street shall be North bound from 4th Street to 3rd Street. SECTION 2. REPEALER. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 4. WHEN EFFECTIVE. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final passage, approval, and publication as provided by law.
