Charter Oak City Council Public Hearing/Special Meeting Minutes June 25, 2024 The Charter Oak City Council met in special session on June 25, 2024. Mayor Peggy Staley called the meeting to order at 7:18 PM. Council Member Nathan Mohr was present and Council Members Ben Heyne and Tracy Helmhold participated by phone. Council Member Russ Maack arrived at 7:21 PM. Others present were Ashley Mohr, Craig Warnock and Jake Hopp. Council Member Alec Castillo was absent. Motion Mohr/Helmhold to approve the agenda. All ayes. Motion carried. Motion Mohr/Heyne to approve opening the Public Hearing for “Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Budget Amendment” at 7:20 PM. No members from the public were present to comment. Motion Heyne/Helmhold to close the Public Hearing at 7:21 PM. All ayes. Motion carried. Motion Maack/Mohr to approve Resolution No. 06-25-2024, Amending Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Budget. Ayes: Heyne, Maack, Mohr, Helmhold. Nays: None. Absent: Castillo. Motion carried. Motion Mohr/Maack to approve Resolution No. 06-25-2024B Setting Salaries/Wages Fy 2024/2025. Ayes: Heyne, Maack, Mohr, Helmhold. Nays: None. Absent: Castillo. Motion carried. Motion Heyne/Mohr to approve building permit to move the 10’x22’x11’ front porch from 115 Birch to 258 2nd Street and installed on the north side of the house. All ayes. Motion carried. Motion Mohr/Heyne to approve a bid from Klink’s Dozing for $250.00 to trim the tree west of the maintenance building. All ayes. Motion carried. Motion Maack/Mohr to approve a bid from Klink’s Dozing for $9500.00 to purchase a 24’x36’ used hoop building to include concrete footing/raised wall and installed out at the lagoons for cold storage. All ayes. Motion carried. Motion Mohr/Maack to table Urban Revitalization Plan/Tax Abatement. All ayes. Motion carried. Motion Helmhold/Heyne to table Draft Code of Ordinances Review. All ayes.
