Iowa County Treasurer’s E-Government Alliance Board of Directors Meeting Minutes Wednesday, August 7, 2024 9:30 AM Microsoft Teams Present: Abby Riesberg, Amy Johnson, Barb Vance, Beth Gerlach, Chad Murray, Linda Manwarren, Marc Carr, Mark Myers Minutes from July 16, 2024, Board Meeting were approved with a motion by Beth, second by Amy, all ayes. Treasurer’s Report: There is an ending balance on August 6, 2024 of $1,427,536.07 which includes IPAIT account. Approved with a motion by Mark, second by Amy, all ayes.  Checks Written: 7011 Maquoketa Sentinel-Press: $202.87 EFT Debits and Transfers: Analysis Charge: 168.02 Gov/Tech, Tax Sale Fee:1,629,213.00 FNBO: 19.60 Catalis, Monthly Payment: 52,269.00 Deposits and Transfers: Transfer, June Merch Fees: 15,216.57 Deposit, Interest: 1,328.96 Interest, Adjustment: 0.02 Interest: 627.79 Interest, Adjustment: 0.04 Interest: 1,068.33 Transfer, Tax Sale Acct Interest:1,522.00 Merchant Services: No update on the Interchange Fee Settlement.   Interest Distribution:  No update as work is in progress on interest distribution. Catalis: Marc reported about 110 enhancement hours were used last year. This is well under the 400 contracted hours. Discussion followed about future amount of contract hours and how that correlates to cost of contract versus price per hour. Further review at time of contact renewal will follow. Discussion about previous enhancement to restrict out of order tax payments and how the enhancement was affecting special assessment payments. Original enhancement was for previous year taxes to be paid before current year taxes. Motion by Amy to remove enhancement from collection website until further testing can be performed, seconded by Beth, all ayes. Enhancement added back to future web enhancement list. Linda reported increase in phone calls in regards to scheduled payments. Abby suggested to add resources to PowerPoint in August for ISAC meeting as a reminder due to increase of new Treasurers. Proposed Future Web Enhancements: Add dropdown for ability to send online misc. payments to tax or MV bank accounts - 8 estimated hours Add fields for valuation for current tax year and future tax year for scheduled pmts. - 8 estimated hours – waiting on info. from Solutions and Tyler Find solution to prevent out-of-order payment. Example: previous year yaxes are delinquent, but taxpayer pays current year before previous year. – 12 estimated hours – pulled enhancement back to adjust enhancement as causing issue for taxpayer when paying special assessments, 8-7-24. ReNew Gov: Previously held discussions of the upcoming RFP prompted ReNew Gov’s interest in meeting with ICTEA Board to present a demo of what ReNew Gov has to offer for website hosting. Other Items: Discussion was held in regards to an enhancement suggestion submitted by email to add a Vendor/Partners tab on the website to allow Treasurers to receive communication from vendors, keep an updated list of vendors, vendor contact information, type of service from vendor and inform vendors of expectations. Topic of enhancement will be addressed at October Web Policy Group meeting.
