Mapleton Municipal Utility – Mapleton, Iowa July 9, 2024 The regular meeting of the Mapleton Municipal Electric board was held July 9, 2024, 12:00 noon at the City Hall council chambers. Present were Jim Else, Daniel Comes and Chris Blake. Employees present were Karla Uhl, Teresa Steinhoff, Nate LeFebvre and Jayden McFarland. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve paying the bills as presented, accepting the profit and loss report and the minutes from the previous meeting. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Dan Cummins, second by Chris Blake, to approve GeoTek closing the monitoring wells at the previous AmeriGas property. A bid was received to close those wells for $1,204.25 from GeoTek. The county was contacted but they do not close monitoring wells. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Dan Comes, second by Chris Blake to approve a loan to Willow Vale Golf Course with 1% interest for the purchase of a mower.
