Monona County Sanitary Landfill Agency Regular Board Meeting September 10th, 2024 Chairman Keith Zediker called the meeting to order at 9:33 a.m. Present: Keith Zediker, Kirk Rose, Becky Miller, Ryan Clark, Manager Logan Persinger, Secretary/Board Secretary Amanda Yanak, Beau Hupke from Hoffman Agency. Absent: Chad Carrier B. Hupke from Hoffman Agency presented the insurance from ICAP. Discussion was held. R. Clark made a motion to accept the insurance as presented. K. Rose seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Approval of Minutes: Board meeting minutes from August 13th, 2024 were presented by A. Yanak. B. Miller made a motion to accept the minutes. R. Clark seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. No further discussion. Treasurer’s Report: Expenditures and CD’s were reviewed. In September, expenditures equaled $224,321.05 and deposits equaled $92,364.55. R. Clark made a motion to accept the financial statement and CD’s as proposed. B. Miller seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Secretary’s Report: A.Yanak stated that the city mayor positions are up for election. A. Yanak is reaching out to all the city mayors seconded meeting will be held on Friday, August 13th at 3:45 p.m. Manager’s Report: L. Persinger stated that we rented the welding equipment from Mark Riddle to change the recycling boxes to fit the new truck for $600.00. All the boxes are complete. L. Persinger stated that our tonnage was extremely high due to the storms that hit Onawa, Whiting, and Blencoe. All the roofing materials are coming to the transfer station. The Monona County Sanitary Landfill Agency hauled out 80 loads of waste in August. Chairman K. Zediker adjourned the meeting at 10:42 a.m. Next meeting is Tuesday October 8th, 2024 @ 9:30 a.m. These minutes are subject to change at the next meeting.
